Job Summary
The Trade Remedies Analyst's substantive focus will involve matters related to U.S. anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations, and other unfair trade litigation (e.g., 232, 301 and 201 proceedings).
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare sales, accounting, and cost of production data for submission to the International Trade Commission (ITC) and International Trade Administration (ITA) in connection with anti-dumping and countervailing duty proceedings.
- Prepare detailed analysis based on a variety of data sources including sales transactions, accounting ledgers, costs of production, trade statistics, and other economic data.
- Calculate estimated duty rates under a variety of possible scenarios based on knowledge of anti-dumping and countervailing duty laws, regulations, and practices as well as fact patterns of the relevant matter.
- Analyze ITC/ITA disclosures for accuracy and consistency with normal practices and in-house duty estimates.
- Collaborate with attorneys and clients with completing ITC/ITA questionnaire responses, including preparation of narrative responses and supporting exhibits. Assist with APO and other procedural filing procedures, and ITA verifications.
- Assist attorneys in the drafting of case and rebuttal briefs for the ITA, as well as pre- and post-hearing/conference briefs for the ITC.
- Support attorneys and trade analysts with the finalization and filing of documents at the ITA and the ITC related to U.S. anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations via agency systems.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of cost and financial accounting
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel to independently produce spreadsheets and reports.
- Ability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts, regarding matters of a complex nature. Requires patience, creativity and discretion.
- Intermediate knowledge of the remainder of the MS suite to independently produce quality written communications such as memos, slides, and standard work documents.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic and friendly manner to accomplish position functions and participate in team efforts.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion as well as perform routine and non-routine tasks with care, attention to detail and efficiency.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with attorneys, staff, vendors, and external contacts.
- Must possess a thorough command of the English language, including excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate information with tact and courtesy as well as follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff.
Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics or related field.
Experience
The position requires a minimum one (1) year of experience with the following (education will be considered in lieu of experience):
- U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty investigations.
- Other unfair trade litigation

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws. The pay range for this position is $75,000-$100,000. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. The salary for this position may vary based on location, market data, an applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
