The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Director, Digital & Marketing Technology:
In this strategic and operational role, you will deliver technical excellence across our digital platforms, including fan facing websites, stakeholder portals, guest and stakeholder mobile applications, the company's intranet, and other internal systems. Reporting to the Head of Applications, Architecture & Results. You will partner with the Marketing team and Technology leadership to establish strategic and operational processes while ensuring Technology initiatives achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future projects. Strong technical background and hands-on experience in building, testing, migrating, and managing websites, mobile applications, and collaborating with cross functional teams are fundamental for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the RFP development, procurement, development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of the company’s digital technology platform and applications.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Marketing Technology strategy and roadmap that supports the LA28 vision, mission, values, deliverables, and partnership obligations.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team consisting of digital marketer, developers, designers, and analysts to advance key organizational initiatives and deliver innovative and effective digital solutions that meet user expectations, enhance brand awareness, and deliver stellar digital experiences.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators and metrics for digital projects and platforms.
- Ensure compliance with digital best practices, global data regulations, legal standards, and policies across the organization.
- Drive focus on operational excellence throughout the organization & partners, including (but not limited to) processes, governance, efficient working approaches, collaboration.
- Identify and evaluate emerging digital trends and technologies and recommend appropriate adoption and integration.
- Commit to and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) principles in all aspects of digital technology management, ensuring that our platforms and applications are accessible and inclusive for all users.
Background & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing, implementing, migrating, and supporting digital/marketing technologies and web/app development.
- Experience with the management and support of key digital and marketing Technology platforms. Key systems include web CMS (currently Adobe Experience Manager), user consent management (OneTrust), web/app analytics (Adobe and Google Analytics), user marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), digital asset management, and other marketing insights and analytics tools.
- Proven track record of successfully leading digital projects in partnership with technology and marketing stakeholder groups.
- Expert knowledge of web and mobile technologies, platforms, and tools, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, React, Angular, iOS, and Android.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and channels, such as SEO, SEM, social media, email, and content management.
- Experience with agile methodologies, project management tools, and testing frameworks (e.g., load, stress, pen, security, accessibility).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting up to a C-Suite audience.

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 - $170,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
